Very comfy but looses luster easily

I bought a pair of shoes just like this already in brown. They are very comfortable. My only gripe is that the leather isn't easy to clean, and the shoes seem to get scuffed really easy compared to any other leather shoes that I've ever bought in the past. I don't know what the deal is with that. It's a little discouraging that they don't hold up.
