Product Description
These shoes have been proclaimed as "perfect for tap" by a well-known tap performer and instructor because of its heel; which is lower than normal and placed directly under the heel. They feature a velvet upper, mesh vamp with flexible suede soles and supportive foam insoles. We've found that these run pretty true to size. Despite their roomy construction, most of the dancers that have worn them did not need a size larger than their usual dress shoe size. They seemed to suit dancers with average and wide feet best. These shoes feature durable, suede leather soles which are designed for dancers of all skill levels. The suede soles are flexible without losing support and balance. To maintain the suede leather (or make it less "zippy"), we recommend using a fine, brass wire brush on the soles to remove the grit and dirt. Aris Allen's are admired worldwide for their amazing comfort and these are no exception. The insoles are well padded with highly supportive foam which helps reduce the impact on your feet when dancing for long periods of time.
