These shoes were truly just bad. I was pretty surprised, since my family has bought a lot of Keens and generally loves them. I got a pair for myself, and was unhappy with almost everything about them.(1) The material is extremely thin. It feels like essentially the same weight as a standard pair of blue jeans. In my experience, shoes that are made out of material this thin will last *maybe* a month or two with regular wear.(2) The toe cap is strangely fitted. When I wore these shoes, I felt a ridge pressing down on the tops of my toes from the rubber toe cap.(3) The white rubber sole and toe cap get marked very easily. Within a few days the shoes had giant black marks all over the outside edges of the soles.(4) They have absolutely no arch support and are not comfortable to wear. I do not require a lot of arch support (and have been perfectly happy with Converse/Chuck Taylors) but these are just uncomfortable.(5) While they look pretty cute in the pictures, in real life they're weird looking. The white rubber is much more prominent and it ends up looking like a clown shoe.(6) The workmanship does not appear to be high quality. The seals where the rubber soles/toe cap meet the fabric are not even, and there is an irregular smearing of thin rubber over the fabric along the edges, making the whole shoe look messy, as if it's covered in spilled glue.I should have just returned these as soon as I got them, but unfortunately I wore them outside first. I ended up donating them to the thrift store after a few weeks. While I usually love Keens, these are a complete disaster in my opinion.
