Liked the design of this shoe when I opened the box, but was immediately disappointed because it was a terribly tight fit. So much so that I only got half my foot in and knew it wasn't worth the effort. I have 2 other pairs of Clarks of different styles at the same size with no issue, but this pair is a lace up as opposed to a slip on w/ elastic pulls for expansion so that might be the reason. I'm not sure that even going up a 1/2 size would have helped. Keep that in mind when purchasing this model. I returned it for a refund. I would have to try this on in a store to avoid another return if I guessed wrong on the sizing for a good fit.

After reading the review above regarding the size, I measured my foot and ordered a size according to the shoe chart included with this posting. I am glad I did. I am so thrilled. I ordered the dark brown suede in an 8.5 women's wide (C)! These are the most comfortable shoes right out of the box with or without stockings or socks! My new favorites. This shoe is spot on. I will order another pair in the Olive and may order the Black as well. This shoe is a classic design that is so difficult to find (raised suede slip-on loafer with conservative details). In addition, the workmanship & materials detail makes this shoe a wonderful choice to wear with skirts or pants. Since I do not have to squeeze into this pair, I enjoy wearing them with either with tights or socks. This shoes allows me to dress up or down (Casual to work dress; perfect heel height to this shoe as well). As a San Diego college history professor, I will wear these to class on a regular basis. Thank you Clarks for a superior shoe (comport, design, quality, and style).

I bought these in a size larger than normal. I happened to try on the next size up since they did not have my usual size and found them to be exceptionally comfortable. I wear little else these days. Bought them for trip to Germany this fall. I could walk all day and night in these! They are the best shoe ever! I am desperate to buy another! Highly recommend, but in one size larger. LOVE them!
