I have been looking for quite some time for a cute, comfy, well-made Oxford/men's-inspired shoe for this Fall. I finally found it with this! Most others that I have tried on were cheap, synthetic material with no support. Granted they were priced that way (cheap!), but with shoes I have learned you truly get what you pay for. To be honest, I did not buy this pair online (I found it for less locally) but wanted to leave a review anyway. I wear a size 9 and the fit seems to be true to size. I do not have wide or narrow feet. The first time I wore them I was able to wear them all day (without socks) and they were fine. The interior/footbed is soft and feels supportive. The left foot did have a spot near my big toe that felt stiff at first, but since they are made from nice leather I am confident that they will break-in and give a little with time and become even more comfortable. I got them in the color brown and they look awesome with jeans, skirts, dress pants..pretty much anything so they are a very versatile shoe! I don't think I could comfortably wear thick socks with them (but I wouldn't anyway), however, tights or thin trouser socks would be fine. I hope this review helps!

After reading some of the reviews that had some concerns regarding size and fit, I had some concern. On arrival they went on easily (I had trouser socks on as I would for work) and they fit like a dream. I DID NOT find any "weird feelings" around the heel or toes, they fit my feet perfectly. I am a size 9M but at times find some shoes squish my little toes depending how they are made. These shoes are very comfortable, very cute and fit wonderfully. I would even say I'm more satisfied than I expected, because they fit better than I thought they might after reading some of the reviews. I have always had great success with Bass.

I ordered these shoes in cognac in a size 8, but they did not fit. They are great classic women's oxfords (the construction is flawless), but my heel slips out of them while walking. I returned them and tried a 7.5, but I had the same problem with cramped toes. I was very disappointed that my ankles were a bit too narrow for these shoes. I doubt that a narrow sized shoe would have worked, because my foot is average, only the ankles are thin. The shoe has cushion (moderate arch support), but it's still a bit stiff. If you have no doubt that your ankles are of an average size or wider- please check this shoe out.
