I've been wanting a pair of oxfords to wear in the summer, and these were perfect because of the little cutouts on the side that helps the shoe to breathe. The leather is very supple and nice. I examined the shoe once I got them and was pleased with their construction and the little details. I was impressed with the quality of the first pair of Boutique 9 shoes I've gotten. I got them at the same time as a pair of Aldo shoes, and the differences in quality were staggering. This Boutique 9 shoe had cleanly cut leather with no glue showing, it was so beautiful compared to the Aldo shoe.I did not wear these shoes with socks, and i went to the farmer's market in them. They were mostly very comfortable. I have different sized feet, my right foot is slightly smaller than my left and it's annoying, so the left shoe felt different. It felt like the instep was digging into my foot. However, I feel that as I break them in that will become a non-issue.I have flat feet with long toes (weird, I know), and these were very comfortable.The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because the cutouts make it sandal-like, but the material in the shoe is not conducive to wearing it barefoot, but even that isn't that bad. I'd actually give it 4.5 stars if I could.

I don't know what's up with Boutique 9 sizing, because they run super big, probably about a half or full size. That said, these are really cute and very well-made. I wish that there was more support for my picky feet though!

I love this oxford. It is a nice change from the usual black. It is winter here in Australia and I have been wearing these with a thin sock or stockings quite comfortably. It still looks slim without cramping my toes and I can walk all day in them.
