TRUE TO SIZE WITH BEAUTIFULLY COLORED SOFT LEATHER
By Cindy A. Osterhout
These fit just like a TRUE 7.5. OH, a true delight. I had been waiting for over three months to order these in hopes that the price would come down from above a hundred for these. When it did, I dithered for a week until it was reported that only one in my size remained, then I jumped for it!I purchased Bordo/Ox for the color. The shoe was also available in Bordo, but the Bordo/Ox looked to have the most red in it and that is what I wanted. The dyes are plant based. The heel has a strip on it that LOOKS like snakeskin (I am off real snakeskin afer I watched a program that showed how they harvested snakes and skinned them while still alive...easier to do they said). This strip is brown to give contrast to the shoe, or to make it easier for you to wear more colors with it easily. I do not like the brown contrast and would have preferred black or "no contrast, just leave the shoe as it was with only one color. The leather this shoe is made with is so soft that it is almost like Kid. Not quite, but close enough that you just want to carress the leather. This same soft type of leather lines the footbed which enhances the cushioning which is built in and makes for a really comfortable walking experience and makes "just standing" a more reasonable solution when it is required. The outsole of the shoe is 3/8" thick black rubber with a small, slightly lifted tread pattern on it. (That is what causes the shoe to appear as if it has bumps on the sole in its picture above). The slightly elevated tread is not noticeable when one is walking on it. Certainly will assist with traction and stability.Overall I give this shoe 4 stars. I would give it 43/4 if I could. The shoe is lovely when viewed head on, or even to the side, until I come to the brown strip on the back. Truly, the brown strip on the back is really all I can find wrong with the shoe, but to me, it is so noticable, that it is almost like a deformity. (Guess I am too OCD). The color of the shoe I purchase is a Bordeux, but lighter. It is as if it had been lighted with pink, not white. The shade is true.OVERALL: This is a lovely, lovely shoe and if you like brown and wine together, it will become a 5 star shoe. The leather is soft and supple; size is true; sole is long lasting rubber with tread for traction and stability. Heel is covered with a hard rubber half of which is tightly ridged rubber which gives even more traction especially if you are wearing this in the rain. The dye is plant based which, may or may not, be more susceptible to rain and ice, depending upon processing of the dye. Laces are flat and the color is medium brown. Other laces may easily be substitued. Lace length is a standard 27" with two holes provided in the shoe. This means there is little ability to adjust for differences in arch height or foot variences which may affect you. I like THIS SHOE and think you too will be pleased with this shoe! Finding a shoe with such soft leather is difficult; finding one in soft leather that runs true to size is near to being a miracle, so while miracles are available, get yourself a pair of them!

Naya-Teak Oxford-Bordeau
By k. breeze
Purchased my shoes in Oct 2012- Loved them so much I paid full price. I have worn the shoes maybe 10 times. I keep them in the original box with the bag enclosed.I went to put them on last night....The color I had noticed has been wearing badly. The looked awful. The color was actually worn off all the way around. The toe area-and moving up the shoe - color worn off. Not just faded, gone. That was not as disconcerting as the response received to my inquiry to Naya, aka Brown Co, or Brown Shoes. I asked if they offered care products or how to go about taking care of my shoes. Their response was automated. They said they have no product to offer. Gave an explanation on what good leather products ingredients should be. Further advised to take them to a shoe repair, But they were absolved of all liability. My other Naya shoes???Customer service is a BIG ZERO. Service is the name of the game. I am returning the shoes. Check around folks. These shoes are "throw aways". That means wear a few times and trash them.Totally disappointed. No apology, sorry you are unhappy...Nothing.jk

Cute!
By Venucia
These shoes were purchased for my daughter. She was very happy with them and I have to say that the quality is even better than I had hoped. The shoes are nice and the service that I received from this seller was greatly appreciated at this stressful time of year. I was grateful to have them arrive in plenty of time for holiday gifting!
